Tracy Arm Fjord

Tracy Arm Fjord was our next visit. This was a magnificent day. We sat on our balcony and watched. This was the coldest day. However, we were able to eat and look. We rode through the fjord and the colors were amazing. Sometimes the boys would lay in the room on the bed. The mountains were on all sides. The water was turquoise. It looked like a lagoon. There were bits of glacier ice floating. The water was about 1000 ft deep and the mountains about 3000 ft high. We had our binoculars and were able to see mountain goats, arctic terns, eagles, a seal (most were pupping so closer to the glacier or shoreline), orca, lots and lots of cascades (this is what many call a waterfall - a cascade is running water from melted snow and a water fall is water running from a source of water like a lake, river, or ocean) and various trees. This day was absolutely amazing.
