School is in session

The school year is off with a bang! Ashleigh is getting in routine with Choir and her studies at the high school this week as she has had Chorale Retreat and started her senior year. She begins her classes at Trident next week. Dylan is also at the high school this year. He is so excited to be riding with Ashleigh each morning! Dylan has 3 classmates from last year and other classmates from previous years. He went to school a few hours a couple of weeks before school started to learn the school and its' environment so that he could find out where his class was and such. Austin is with me at the elementary school as a 4th grader. His schedule is so that I do not even see him during the school day. (I may have to sneak over to take a peek.) And me-I am in third grade this year. I am team teaching this year. However, I am teaching ELA during this team pair!

Summer Fun

Fun in the sun.
Summer Days are full of fun, relaxation, and family. I am so grateful that we can enjoy these days together and that my kids like it too!

Shopping

Visiting the library and the book store is always a fave! We usually also visit Bigby and use our email coupons and sometimes Wendy's and Chick Fil A.

Chick Fil A-Cow Appreciation Day

Jim came to visit. While Chris and he spent the majority of the time revamping "the blue rocket" (63 Chevy II Nova wagon), Ashleigh was able to assist.
Austin loves smoothies too!

Magical Memories

Magical Memories were made this summer at Disney. Yes,it was hot and we had to wait in lines, but we made good use of our times laughing, playing charades (headbandz style) which was SOO FUN, and were able to enjoy our time together. At times, it rained and we had to wait for some rides; however we either sat in out in front of the fan (lucky) in the covered area (at the front of the line) and/or we decided to leave the line and return using a fastpass. We rode most every ride and the boys rode all the coasters. Least favorite for them was Tower of Terror. Mixed on most favorite.
At Disney Springs (formerly known as Downtown Disney) we had a blast. The kids tried on headbands, we ohhed and ahhed at cute items, we laughed and had fun, and we saw tons of mugs. (Ashleigh did not get any from here :(

Hollywood Studios and Toy Story Land was a hit for ALL of us. The Slinky Dog ride was awesome, and Dylan loves Toy Story Mania (well we all do).

At Epcot's Test Track, the boys designed the red car and the girls the purple. The purple car also won overall power performance over the boys.
Frozen- well it wasn't the same as the musical in New York.

The kids love riding Alice's Teacups. (Chris and I sat out for this one.)

It's a Small World! Certainly so true. At Animal Kingdom, we saw the most animals we have ever seen on the jungle safari ride. It's so amazing how these animals are part of our small world.

The shows of course were amazing. This is a picture of the light show at The Animal Kingdom.
