Pigeon Forge Getaway

We took a short getaway to Pigeon Forge. The leaves were changing and were absolutely beautiful- yellow, red, and orange. The weather was gorgeous! We were able to spend a day at Dollywood with Helen and Jim. We rode many rides and did a lot of walking. Dylan even walked the entire day. The park wasn’t crowded. Helen even rode a couple of rides with the boys.

We also ate at Paula Deen’s restaurant and did some cider and wine tastings in Pigeon Forge. Our hotel had an indoor water park. We rode the indoor water slides and had a lot of fun! It was like whitewater rafting! Definitely feeling my age.

Austin Choir

Austin had his first choir concert this week at the high school. He is singing bass. At the high school level, the guys “upgrade” to a tux adding the coat to the attire. He also has new dress loafers that he chose. I’d say he looks spiffy - handsome!

His choir consists of freshman members and he is one of the 3 bass section.

Folly fun

We started the day eating a yummy breakfast at a place (Charleston Delicatessen) Chris has been wanting to take me for awhile. I’ve had some deserts from there  but Chris had always brought them to me. Then we proceeded to have a wonderful date day (after setting up a tv in Austin’s room ). We went to Folly Beach and were able to  Morrison Island lighthouse after walking the trail. We also walked on the beach. We  visited the pier and had dinner while sitting on the pier. We saw someone getting married and listened to Georgia play football. Helen and Jim were also able to join us. It was a fun day!
