Games and Paint

Austin, Chris, and I have played Clue and Blurt. While the boys and I have played Jenga, Sorry, Trouble, Uno. Austin and Dylan also enjoy playing Uno, Jenna, Twister and several other gamers.  Austin is learning strategy and Dylan using one to one correspondence when counting has so greatly improved! It is fun to watch them grow and learn. They also enjoy playing games on the X Box and games outside with their friends.

I continue to tutor some mornings, but I have also managed to paint our foyer bathroom and some other minor projects as well as declutter closets and cabinets. Chris also built a new shelf in the bathroom and we bought a new mirror.  Now time to add some decorative touches.

July In Mount Hermon

Ashleigh, Sam, and Chris are settled in at Mount Hermon. Continue to pray for their strength, love, building relationships, and serving showing and sharing God’s love and grace with families, kids, counselors, and one another.

Cow Appreciation Day-Chick Fil A

This year instead of lunch we had dinner at Chick Fil A on Cow Appreciation Day. Chris was able to join us in on the fun. This year we stuck with ear headbands, Austin was able to wear his shirt we had made a couple years ago, I wore my handy dandy black and white.  We all wore cow ears and had a great time!

Happenings Here; Happenings There, Happenings Everywhere

Various things going on this summer-beach, reading, library, $3 Bigby Wednesday,  dorm shopping (while Ashleigh is in California),and Ashleigh and Sam in Mount Hermon.

Austin and I reading together to help Chompers become more well-mannered.

I texted with Ashleigh one day when I found quite a few comforters. She texted me as I was leaving the store the one she liked. Since it was TJMaxx and that is a must get that day kind of place, I turned around to get the comforter. I also left with these 3 throw pillows and a yellow set of sheets for her college dorm. 

Next are some photos of Ashleigh and Sam in action while at Mount Hermon. This transition time has been good for all of us. We miss Ashleigh (Sam too), but we know they are growing. Continue to pray for Ashleigh, Sam, and Chris (Sam's brother) as they serve, love, and grow this summer.

 

This year Austin got his very own library card.

Chris, the boys, and I enjoyed a day at the beach. We had fun throwing the football, building sand castles, and jumping the waves in the water.

A Visit from Helen and Jim

Helen and Jim were in town for a couple of days. It is always fun to be a tourist in the place we live. There are so many things to do here. This time we had fun at Playa Bowl, Fort Sumter, Noisy Oyster, and Carolina Crab House in Folly Island. I was able to show Helen where Ashleigh would be going to college by visiting CSU and the new subdivision Chris would be managing in CB. We also spent time talking and reminding and just having fun!
