Merry Christmas

 

From sweet making with Dylan and Austin, Lowcountry Boil and bbq chicken grilling witj Chris, Christmas Eve service celebrating the birth of Jesus and James Island lights with our family and soon to be son, to Christmas morning and prime rib for dinner, I’d say this weekend was perfectly great. Merry Christmas!

18 for Dylan

 I can’t believe this little guy of 6 lbs 2 oz is 18 today! We are so grateful for all the joys and lessons he brings  Growing up—Way too fast! So proud of the young guy he is becoming!! We love you,Dylan!

Ashleigh finished her 4th nursing semester (5th in total) on Monday; only to have her wisdom teeth extracted on Tuesday. This is her heading to the appointment. 

The last day before break we had a holiday sock exchange in our classroom. These are the socks the kids received. They were so excited!

Ashleigh was able to pick up her dress (don’t mind the wisdom teeth extracted bruised cheeks)
 We have had a busy couple of weeks! 

Austin wrapped up his soccer season! He had an awesome “No Name” team. During the season they won each game! Played in the tournament and the last game while his team played hard and we’re missing quite a few players; they lost! During the game, Austin took a ball kick to his glasses and they snapped.

 We are so excited to announce that we are gaining a son! Sam proposed to Ashleigh on October 22,2021 after calling Chris and I on the Thursday before for our blessing! Wedding is planned for May 2022!

21 for Ashleigh

 Happy, happy birthday to our girl! 21 years ago this little blessing was born! We are so grateful for the young lady and woman that she is becoming! We love you! 

Catching up in mid October

 Not many changes at the Allen household…

Ashleigh, Helen, and I went to the Italian festival a couple Sundays back after church while the boys went to a movie. We enjoyed the yummy Italian

Ashleigh and I finally were able to see Lauren Daigle in concert. We bought tickets two years ago before Covid. It was a great night. We enjoyed Panera and studying  before the concert. 

At dinner each night, Dylan usually tells us about his day and we usually get what he did at PE. His teacher, started using ClassDojo. I love that she posts pics and class happenings so that we can get a small  glimpse into the day. 

Ashleigh was in fall break for a couple of days. She and I were able to visit our friends and their new home  for the weekend. She stayed longer to visit. Thankful she had this break although she did study and do Classwork during this time. We had a nice fun time having one of her favorite dishes, sopas. We also went to the Renaissance festival with Alleyn and Paige. Alleyn and I had a fun girl afternoon looking around at some local shops, eating burgers, and just hanging out. The weather was lovely
