Couple of days in MB

Spring Break this week brought a couple of days in Myrtle Beach. We were able to stay in condo with Helen and Jim. Although the weather was not very spring, we were able to be outside and have fun. We went to Ripley’s Aquarium, walked and visited Broadway ar the Beach, and Barefoot Landing. We noticed several changes at Barefoot Landing (especially the new Savannah Bee Co in place of the tiger place. We also had a fun time hanging out the game room. Austin, Chris , and I also walked for ice cream one night. We went to the Pirates’s Voyage Dinner show too. (I believe this is the first show of this kind the boys has gone too in quite some time.)

Easter 2023

Happy Easter! He is Risen!

We were able to enjoy Easter service together at our church and later Helen, Jim, and Shane joined us for lunch. The boys got Easter goodies and I had to use Ashleigh’s basket because their baskets are in the attic.  I also used the basket for candy for me and Chris. Ashleigh and Sam got goodies via Amazon earlier in the week (no basket).

Announcing Our College Graduate

Announcing our college graduate- Ashleigh has endured the college years of nursing school and is currently thriving as a Pediatric ER nurse. Through her years of college she has had countless hours of studying in her major of nursing and her minor of Christian studies, as well as, hanging out with her family and friends, going in a road trip to California and working at a family camp, Covid pandemic onset, getting married, and driving countless hours. However, each of these lessons and happenings through good times and bad times were made possible through her prayers and trust in Christ. As her mom and dad,we can definitely say we are so proud of her! She is one amazing daughter ,one amazing nurse, one amazing human!!We love you, Ashleigh!

Soccer and a fractured wrist

Yesterday was Austin’s first game of Spring Soccer at the Y. He had played the first half on defense and the second half was beginning on offense. A couple of plays into the half and he and another guy got tangled up and Austin fell to ground but was kicked in the wrist (accident). He tried to continue to play but ended up taking a knee. We took him to nearby ER clinic and sure enough he has a fracture in left wrist at the growth plate. Orthopedic will be seen later in week.

Also Ashleigh and Sam will be adopting a puppy named Glorph. The litter was born on Friday.
