Smiling Glasses!

Dylan is excited about his new glasses! He has told me several times in the past few days since we picked them up and had them fitted that he loves his glasses. We got him a strap to help keep them from falling off. Sometimes he puts them on top of his head, but he is adjusting well.

Back to School

Ashleigh has moved into her dorm and had a couple of days of classes. She is taking 6 classes.- 2 online- one is Public Speaking- (these were online classes prior to Covid. She is very excited about this semester, not only her Nursing classes (Adult  Health I and Clinical Pharmacology II), but also several  classes related to her Christian Studies minor. Several of her classes will go hand in hand and grow her in so many ways. She and her roommate and suite mates have had dinners together that she and they have made. Several attended the school’s welcome back kickoff on Monday. Prayers for her as she grows in Christ, in relationships, and in her purpose with Christ during this season in life. Prayers for all the students and staff at CSU and other universities, colleges, and school throughout our world. To God Be the Glory!

Glasses for Dylan

So after taking Dylan to the eye doctor, it has been determined that he has a slight astigmatism and is far sighted. Dylan will be getting glasses. He tried in several pair and the pair pictured will be coming for him in about 14 days. During the eye examine, he had to identify objects and them tell which dots he could see more clearly. He is excited! More handsome pics with his glasses soon. (Yes, we got the added protection in case scratched, broken).

20/20 Vision

Ashleigh had Lasik surgery almost 3 weeks She went for her follow up and her vision is 20/20.  She is getting acquainted to no glasses or contacts. She will continue to use artificial tears to keep her eyes wets for the first month after surgery. The first two weeks she was not able to shower and wash her hair. Of course, she took baths. Sometimes I would wash her hair like was a kid again and she would lie on the countertop for me to wash her hair in the sink. Wow- bringing back childhood memories. Other times I’d drench her back while washing her hair as she sat outside her bathtub. And of course, she ventured to wash her own hair too.
