Family Times

Although our schedules coincide and Ashleigh is busily finishing her high school studies, dual-enrollment classes, participating in both choirs, drama, and dance, and hanging out with friends, our family eats dinner most nights together. For this reason, we are able to talk and share our day's goods and bads and keep up with the what is happening in life.

A reason to celebrate and dress up

A friend of Ashleigh's ask her and me to help with the "welcome" area of her wedding to her best friend. We were also made cookies and dress up to celebrate.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Pausing for a pose before coming down Christmas morning.
We celebrated Christmas this year with some old traditions and new happenings.

Happy New Year

We were able to celebrate Christmas Eve with our church, our family, and our friends. Christmas morning we had a light breakfast, our gifts, and the traditional movie going. Ashleigh's boyfriend, Sam, was in Japan getting ready to celebrate a sister getting married. On New Year's Eve, Helen and Jim were able to celebrate with us and enjoy a fire on our backporch, as well as, the neighborhood fireworks. I made pork chops, black-eyed peas, cornbread, collards, and mash potatoes for our New Year's dinner.
