College Move In

After coming home last Sunday and having this week to rest and become jet lag free as well as time zone warp, Ashleigh moved into her dorm at CSU. Although I shopped for her this summer, she needed some desk shelves as her desk was different than the one we saw during orientation. We were able to find a solution. We also attended various meetings and such tighter as well as had lunch with her roommate and some friends. We had to find a solution to keep items on the wall too. Therefore on Saturday afternoon, we had a plan and were able to hang her things. I received a text that one thing fell. She was able to finish her area and ready herself to begin classes.   Please continue to pray for her and the endeavors Christ has for her.

Mount Hermon August

Ashleigh, Sam, and Chris are wrapping up their summer at Mount Hermon this week. I am so grateful for their love and servitude sharing God’s Love with so many families and campers, as well as, growing in Christ.

River, Harbor, Ocean-oh my!

Today we ventured out to the jetties and to the mouth of the ocean! We caught several small fish near the jetties. WAustin drove down the Cooper. While coming back up we caught a huge wave! Dylan was sitting on the bow and he got wet; Austin and I got wet too while sitting near him ( but not as much). It was a sunny day complete with sub sandwiches, chips, cherry coke , and turtle Chex mix.

Boating and Fishing

Catching a shark was very exciting for Dylan, but he and Austin refused to touch it. Their skin feels very rough- like sandpaper.

We also caught a couple of sting rays. They always put up a fight. The first one was BIG. It  weighed more than Austin. Chris helped Austin reel it in before releasing it. The second one was a fighter too and just as Austin Welles him to the boat, the fishing line broke.

Boating

We enjoyed a couple days on the boat. The boys love it! Austin has driven from the Ravenel Bridge to the paper mill,;Dylan has driven back down the Cooper (not quite as far). We forgot the bait and used chicken to fish and learned that fish do not like chicken but seagulls do. We forgot the tackle box the next time. Therefore after catching a shark and several stingray and then breaking the line, we were unable to fish any longer. Therefore we drive quite a bit up the Cooper and then down the Wando. The ride was nice down the Cooper but tide was changing and it was rough going down the. Wando. The harbor and Ashley were nice. All in all spending time together is the ultimate goal. We had a blast- laughing, eating, and relaxing. Of course, we missed our girl.
