Austin plays soccer

 Austin is playing soccer once again! It’s so fun to watch him! I am glad Ashleigh was able to see him play a couple of games before heading across country for the summer. She definitely is his biggest fan! 

Hollywood Studios

 Star Wars and Toyland were our main favorites. We enjoyed riding Slinky Dog! During  Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad, I kept looking for changes from the Great Movie Ride. We were able to to watch a show, Frozen Sing A Long. This was a great way to cool off and enjoy an indoor show For the First Time in Forever. 

Animal Kingdom

After school was out for Ashleigh. We took a little vacay away as a family before Ashleigh heads to Ca for the summer. We roamed  from Africa to Asia to Dinoland and Avatar   

Part of our adventure was earning badges throughout the park as we learned and pretended to be Wilderness Explorers like Russell.  

 

Riding Kali River Rapids was a fun and wet experience  Ashleigh brought a new outfit and after getting wet, she was able to change  The rest of us had to dry using the sun  

We trekked through Maharaja  Jungle Trek and Gorilla Falls helped us get many many steps  

Treats such as giant donuts and frozen coffees kept us from being horribly hungry and hydrated. Yes, we also had real food and

The last choir days were very memorable- Fun with friends and Mama Mia-songs include Mama Mia and Slippin’ Through My Fingers. Definitely a night to remember - I love this girl and her caring heart

Soccer and Choir

 It was a busy Saturday for Austin! He is playing soccer this spring at the Y! He absolutely loves it. While his team did not win, they are growing and learning. He had a fabulous time. Chris, Ashleigh, Dylan, and I cheered (and encouraged) from the sidelines. Also now that Helen and Jim live here; they were able to see him play. Jim says it brought back memories from when Chris was a boy playing soccer. 

The soccer game started late and he literally went straight to choir. (Came home, sponged, body spray, brush teeth, and change clothes—all with the help of Ashleigh and me). All schools had a vertical choir concert. This was the first and only concert for Austin’s school this year due to Covid. They were able to have rehearsal and the concert at the stadium of the high school. During the concert, Ashleigh hummed and/or  sang softly (in her soprano voice) as she recognized and had sang most of them. Very proud of Austin’s endurance for such a busy day.  

Year 2 Complete

 Proud of Ashleigh as she completes year 2 at CSU! She is also half way through her nursing degree and her minor in Christian Studies. A few weeks to rest, enjoy time with friends and family, and prepare for summer l. She and a couple friends will travel across country to Ca before serving families at MH.
