Family fun

The boys, Chris, and I had a nice relaxing time in Daytona Beach. First, we went to Sea World in Orlando. We haven’t been to Sea World since Austin was 2! The day was hot!! We were able to cool off during the Orca show because there was rain and lightning and the first show was cancelled. We stayed at the stadium and enjoyed the breeze and cooler temperatures. The shoes were great and the meal plan was sufficiently plenty of food.

In Daytona, we had fun relaxing at the beach. The boys would throw the football a lot. We also used the boogie board and once a wave crashed over me causing me to lose a hat that Chris so graciously let me use but I was able to hold on to my sunglasses. We played mini golf. Afterwards, Chris had placed his sunglasses on his hat and we went to view the alligators. His glasses dropped into the area where the alligators were (not in the wild; more like a pond like enclosure) and thankfully the attendant was able to use a net to retrieve his glasses. The boys drove go carts and had a lot of fun. Chris and I walked down what was once The Boardwalk (memory lane) and we got some saltwater taffy. I haven’t had saltwater taffy in such a long time. (My mom was probably the last person to buy it for me.) We had ice cream and even saw a car in the ocean (No confirmation but a person more than likely had a seizure and drove through the beach toll booth before crashing into the ocean.  I followed the news story and thankful no one was fatally hurt. A young kid and the family in the car went to hospital). All in all, we had a relaxing and fun time!

Vacay with the Allen’s

Chris, the boys, Helen, Jim and I had a family adventure. We walked, learned, ate, and explored Jamestown settlement, Jamestown (National Park) where the boats and Indian village are, Williamsburg, and Yorktown, city and National Park.

We also ventured to Washington, D.C. More fun adventures! We visited the Natural History Smithsonian and American Indian Smithsonian, took a night tour through the city and Georgetown, Arlington cemetery, boat trip on the Potomac (saw a lot of airplanes coming in to land at Ronald Reagan airport) , Washington monument (Dylan’s favorite as he recognized from Spider-Man) and many other monuments.
