Our next stop was Icy Straight Point (Hoonah), AK. Here we walked through the shops close to the cruise port and saw the salmon cannery. We also walked along the walkway to the city which was basically a blink of any eye. We saw cascades of water flowing from the melting snow and snow capped mountains. We saw a totem pole in the making and a canoe that may have been in the making but I couldn’t tell, a local cracking crab at the dock and lots of majestic mountains. We saw huge ravens, an eagle’s nest in the town (the eagles weren’t present), and some eagles flying and in another nest near the cruise port. To get to the main area from where the ship is docked, we rode a sky tram. While walking along the walkway of the coast, we were surrounded by water or mountains. There were several places we could stop and rest or enjoy the scenery on benches;however, we only stopped two times on the way back. It was a beautiful day admiring God’s creation.
