The Busy Life

My picture wall is growing! While I have filled the nine on this group, I plan to add to the collection with some landscape photos of family too embedded in the portrait photos. Excited to watch the family change and grow. 

Today was day 30 of school! I have not even taken pictures of my classroom. I have been so busy teaching, managing student behaviors, meetings, and all the things at as the new school year begins …. And. I’m also a wife, a mom, a Granna, a friend. One thing I’ve learned this school year thus far is slow and steady provides progress just like acceleration and speed. Therefore, I’m setting goals on day at a time. I may get to school a little earlier each day (usually 6:30 am) before my contract time (6:45am) and I definitely stay later each day (I don’t even want to say most days it is 4:00) and contract time ends at 2:45. I’ve learned to be a listener and collaborator. I’ve learned that teamwork does make the dream work. I have an awesome grade level team and an awesome teammate in which I switch classes with each day. Pictures to come soon….

Next Austin has been taking his driving classes and he has passed the road test too. Now to take him to the DMV (that’s closed on weekends) to turn in his paperwork or forfeit his learning permit to the restricted drivers permit. Pic to come … 

Austin is also playing soccer one last season. The Y enables players to play until 15 as long as they register before 16. Registration for the fall was last spring; therefore, Austin is playing one last season. He is playing offense again this season.  Most of his career in soccer he has played defense.  He has scored some goals too. At school, he continues to make strides and seemingly enjoys his classes. 

Dylan continues to enjoy chillaxing at home. He now has his chore chart to help even out and add to his daily life and while he repeatedly has always without many reminders emptied the trash, folded and put away his clothes and other people’s clothes and towels, and filled up as well as put away dishes in the dishwasher. He also helps feed and take out Chompers. 

Chompers had a good check up at his visit. He continues to enjoy taking naps and playing with his ball or bone. He likes going outside and laying in the sun although his fur is black. 

Little Ani continues to grow and grow. I sure wished I lived closer to watch and get a glint more often, but I am frothy Ashleigh sends me pictures and videos often. In October, I am hoping to be able to begin my monthly visits and some may be lucky for have two visits  each month
